Jinjiang Apartment – Shanghai, China

Set within the iconic Grosvenor Building, one of Shanghai’s most renowned Art Deco landmarks, this apartment project pays homage to the city’s rich architectural legacy. Shanghai's Art Deco is distinctive — less ornamental than its Western counterpart, and more fluid, dynamic, and rooted in movement rather than decor.

The design preserves the soul of the space. Original features like the wooden flooring and ceiling remain untouched, anchoring the apartment in its historical context. The interior palette draws directly from the building’s façade — brown brick tones and crisp white lines are translated inside through light oak finishes and deep, contrasting walls. The result is a quiet elegance that lets the building's legacy speak.
