How to Bring In the “Sense of Place”

Designed with a deep respect for privacy and flow, this office reinterprets spatial boundaries through a series of sliding panels that define and connect the private office, open space, and meeting area.

At the heart of the layout, the meeting room functions as a flexible extension of the main office — either fully integrated or used as a semi-public zone, depending on the moment.

The sliding panels are the defining feature of the space. Their geometric detailing draws from Art Deco influences, with patterns inspired by doors and gates discovered in the streets of the Former French Concession. These elements, rooted in the surrounding urban texture, subtly anchor the space to its cultural context — offering not just function, but identity.
