Context & Inspiration
Nestled in the coniferous belt of Obârșia Lotrului—among spruce, fir, pine, cedar, and juniper—this project celebrates the region’s rare Pinus banatica or Zambru, an endemic treasure. Its distinctive needle patterns and cone textures have been abstracted into a bespoke low-relief motif, quietly embossed on key surfaces and textiles to honor the area’s unique natural heritage.

Room Layout
Covering 34 m², the space unfolds from a welcoming entry through a sculptural bathroom alcove into a combined sleep-and-lounge area. An inviting sofa and low table face the fireplace at the foot of the bed, creating a cozy nook for conversation or quiet relaxation.

Materials & Finishes

• Floors & Walls
  Sustainably sourced or reclaimed wood—its warm grain and matte finish lend an ageless, organic quality that softens the hotel’s sleek exterior. One feature wall bears the Pinus banatica needle-pattern relief, casting gentle shadows that shift with the daylight.

• Bathroom Accent
  Around the bathtub, a stretch of natural or lightly bush-hammered stone is softly illuminated to reveal ever-changing patterns of texture and shadow.

Fireplace
Choose one of two signature treatments to make the hearth the heart of the room:

1. Subtle Alpine Motif: Decorative plaster embossed with abstract conifer shapes—now enriched by the silhouette of Pinus banatica needles.

Lighting & Ambiance
A layered lighting scheme ensures each moment feels just right:

• Warm Ambient Glow: Bathes the room in soft intimacy.

• Accent Lamps: Highlight wood grain, the Pinus banatica relief, and other tactile details.

• Directional Lighting: Focused around the fireplace to reinforce its role as the focal point.
